The papers, in several cases, are nearly ready for transmission, but as I see from the papers, that there has been a change of officers, we thought it best to correspond with you, before sending up our ready papers.
I have made a deed of gift to the colored people of my district and the papers will soon be ready if we can learn from you that there is no change. I have been using all my physical energies to further the cause of education, especially for the colored people of my country.
Please let me hear from you, at your earliest convenience.
