I enclose you the transportation papers of Thomas  Ewing - who has been teaching a colored school in North Nashville (in Germantown) for four months past - He has gone North - sent me these papers a few days ago, which have been in the hands of J B Leland, Allegheny City Pa, Sec'y of our Board of F. Mission, and requested me to hand them to you, and if the money could be refunded for them, to do so, through me. He saw you before leaving and such was the understanding. They were not used because not received in time. His fare to this [[?]] was Thirty and 30/100 Dollars ($30 30/100).
