My dear Sir:

Application has been made to this Bureau for aid in building a school house for the colored people at Alexandria, Tenn. If they have purchased a lot and gotten a deed for it, to trustees for school purposes, the Bureau will aid them in purchasing materials for the building to amount of ($250.00) "Two hundred and fifty Dollars."

Please let me hear from you in reference to this matter and also as to the matter in which the Bureau can aid in promoting the cause of education of freedmen in your County.
