Dearest Sister - 
A great deal of history is in the making just now in the family. I only wish I knew what Billy B. is up to. I do not want to write to Nettie about it because I am not sure how much is good for her. The last she told me was just before she was sick when she proposed taking a house in N.J. for her & Kitty which sounded as if Billy was off to Europe or house where - then it will be Texas or France. I do hope it may be a month in Wash. for Jim wants him for best man - as Harry must, I fear, be at Fort Smith. Jim says the wedding is surely to be the 10th. & that they are to have a little apartment in Washington - he will only have 3 days off!

You are coming of course, & I hope E. Will be well - it seems possible, but of course I know writing about what is best for Jeb - we must have only one idea about her now & that is to get her well - poor darling - Aunt Kate is better than she
