Sunday P.M.

Dear Child -

I have not very good news for you today tho' nothing of immediate alarm. I will explain all about it. Yesterday evening when I went in I found Uncle Will's hand all swollen. I was much frightened ofcourse. It seems tho' it was not the poison as I

in extreme weakness. The blood vessels get rough & flabby & the circulation is impeded.

When you write you can just talk about his arm being sore & swelled - it will be very simple. He ate his dinner very well today & has not seemed to mind the heat - it has showered & he could stay in his room where the fan makes it very pleasant.

Your letters are the life of the day - I do not know where I would be without them.
