Friday, October 29, 1875.
Went first thing in the morning to the doctors to get medicine for E. who had been ailing with idigestion [[indigestion]] for a week. His little boys very cute. She had to dismiss school being to [[too]] sick to teach. Drew all the morning and afternoon till I went to singing lesson. Came home dressed for concert. Very warm  Wore light silk. No one able to go but me. E dreadfully disappointed. A.A.S. came to tea. S.L.S. got in car with the two girls at 40th St. Sat on left hand side of F.C. Enjoyed two first pieces most though the symphony most lovely. R Redfield was there and talked to me all through the inter.
J.R.S. talked in concert and made me mad. Went to Mrs Burns. Saw H Junior, and lots of other people I knew - nice day.

Saturday, October 30, 1875.
Gave L. Douglas her lesson. Foster's lovely
book in with J. Dalles. Very pleasant. January sent me a "Weekly Press" with the "Lizard & the Crocodile" that I had sent him printed in it! Stayed over my time at L. Redfields and went over in rain to the Guillon's saw the girls. Paid quite a visit  Did'nt get home till 2 o'lk. Re'cd [[received]] package from Sin. Saw beautiful photos and note saying he would come over to see Stow if I wanted him to(!) Got dark very soon, did'nt draw long  studied  SS. lesson. Practised. Got tea. Wrote to Sin. Whitaker and M.S.J. asking her here. Sewed Miss' drawers. Opened firkin of butter. Very tired. A tiresome day.
