Saturday,November 6 ,1875.

Went as usual to give my lessons. L.D has begun cylinders and L.R. The shading of her piece. Went over to The Grislow's after lesson and got Chochette for Etta. Saw my honey. Went downtown and bought veil and velvet for my hat. Rode out with quaint little Miss Herman and P. Crittenden who thinks he can get a tenor for our singing class. Had saved dinner when I got home and drew. Aunt Em went to the Biddles. Took bones out of brisket and washed cooker. Dressed, tufted, and practised after tea. E. was sick and I fed her her tea in the parlor. Wrote note to K.D. & M.T.J. and began letter to C.E.B. no one came.

Sunday, November 7, 1875
This is another anniversary. Took our first meal in the dining room this morning but it smelled rather painty. Had to wear ugly black straw to church because my brown hat was not made. An earnest sermon from Dr. C. but I was inattentive and thinking about a picture I have in my mind and which I hope someday to depict. Bill B. came and L. entertained him being unable to get dinner. Reviled him about stocking. Not a very nice L.S. has comfortably settled in bed when H. Schenck came. L didn't go to church. No I am not in church Harry S. had Cora Wallace in church and I thought that this looked quite disconsolate Not a very nice day-
