England, where during a visit to Cambridge the painted several successful portraits - Since 1890 she has been living at home in Philadelphia ^[[& fully occupied in painting,]] although during the last two years she has ^[[also]] taken an active interest in the Art Department of the Women's Civil Club. The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts has awarded her the "Mary Smith Prize" four times, in 1885, 1887, 1891, & 1892. The Philadelphia art club awarded here its Gold Medal in 1893. The New York National Academy of Design awarded her the Dodge Prize in 1893. She was elected member of the Society of American Artists in 1893, & associate of the National Academy of Design in 1894.
