My dearest,

It was good to get your letter and to hear of Mary's darling old beaux; and I only wish I could see them, for they do sound sweet. Don't let her overwork. Is Spunt coming?

Today I worked all morning in the class getting a crit. from Mr. Webster who is very nice. Constance Bigelow came in to ask Kathleen and me to tea with her. After lunch I went sketching on a wharf and got a small thing of trees in which I strove to do as you said and make the trees appear to be vegetation instead of long, slimy organisms. Then I returned and went with Kathleen to Constance's
