Kathleen is going home a week from Thursday and wants me to stay on. She says her mother intends me to, but I will have been away about four weeks then and think I had better come back to you. It will be the middle of September, and if I am to begin work the first of October, I will need to prepare for town and get settled then. Having paid for that first month I feel I musnt miss a day of it; I shall stay a night or so in [[?]] either with Jo Lewis or Helen Hall. Kathleen and I are "doing Boston on our way, and I shall look for something for sweet little Mamie. I am so distressed to hear of her illness. Give her my love and tell her I intend to write.
