the clouds broke and the moon came out until my return here, I think it is raining now. Looked for a letter from you today I suppose you have been to busy and tired at night to write, if you did write the mail always takes a longer time to get here when sent from Yonker, than from the city. Started another picture of snow, somewhat like the other one in the character of the snow but perhaps a more interesting subject. Saw the skin of a fox at [[Heekmans?]] store this morning that someone had shot up on the mountain, that I would like to hunt for one myself, but found out that it was almost impossible to find one without a dog. Let you and I get a dog sometime and see if we can't get one. I hope you will come soon to study those oxen, With my love, Andrew
