I feel real good about the essay, and real confident about the catalog. Why won't you give a little, and let me worry about my paintings? Just because you've proved to the whole world that they must be, that doesn't mean that I still can't have trouble finding them.

This may never end, I just got your letters of reply. I wrote this letter, as you can see, largely in response to our phone conversation. You are certainly right about Michael & Clem. That Louis was just lucky, I'm not so sure, but it doesn't matter. In the blabber of all these pages I'm really only trying get 1 idea across, & at the same time
