Nettie S. Horch, Director

Dear Mr. Johns,

The Directors of the Riverside Museum take pleasure in inviting you to participate in an invitational exhibit called "WEST SIDE ARTISTS-NEW YORK CITY" to be presented from September 27th, 1964 to November 8th, 1964.

This show is a special exhibit organized to conincide with the World's Fair. The Riverside Museum's Exhibit at the New York City Pavilion will serve to attract many visitors to this museum, who will be enjoying the cultural life of the city.

Since the Mast Institute of United Arts, Inc. and the Riverside Museum have spearheaded cultural activities on the upper West Side, we feel it appropriate that we should organized such an exhibit in the hope that it will also serve as an inspiration to the community.

We are extending invitations to approximately 75 leading painters and sculptors in the West Side area from Lincoln Center through Columbia University, each of whom is asked to send one outstanding piece of his own choosing.

Enclosed you will find two copies of the agreement and details for the exhibition. Kindly sign one copy at your earliest convenience and return it to the Museum in the self-addressed enclosed envelope, so that we may know of your participation in this show. We most sincerely hope that you will take part in this exhibit.

Please feel free to call me if you have any further questions.

Sincerely yours,
Oriole Farb
