Scene 2nd. 
A wedding.
young girl enters, strewing flowers upon the ground, followed by the priest in long black gown, and prayer book in hand. Next the bride & groom (the maid and her lover) and behind them two and two young men and maidens all in peasants dress. The priest placed himself at the end of the room. the young couple before him, the others [[arrange?]] themselves on either side. He opens his prayer book, looks at the young man, and extending his hand towards the maiden, seemed to ask him if he takes her to be his wife. The lover vows [[?]]. [[?]] [[?]]
