Dear Miss Trimble:

I regret very much to have to inform you of the Clients negative reaction to the Escobar sculpture for the Jefferson advertisement.
They did not find it sufficiently pertinent to the meaning of the quotation. This has no bearing on their appreciation of the piece as a work of art.

It is unfortunate that we were unable to follow through with the original piece liked last year (which was sold). However, that is no longer pertinent to the situation.

The Great Ideas series is coming to an end, as is our association with Container Corporation.

You will understand my disappointment at this turn of events from many stand-
points.

We at the agency regret not to have been able to include Marisol in this series. We hope you understand that we appreciate all of the work you and the sculptor went to in this connection.

As per our initial agreement you may bill us for the agreed-upon sketch fee of $200. The sculpture is of course yours to dispose of as you see fit. This is our standard arrangement for rejected work. The fee is at least some compensation for the artist thinking. These figures are set in each case by the Client.

Thank you very much Miss Trimble. It has been pleasant seeing you on very various visits ... as it will be again in the future. Please thank Mr. Castelli for me and Marisol also.

Yours sincerely,
Walter Reinsel [[signature]]
