ASPEN INSTITUTE FOR HUMANISTIC STUDIES Founded by Walter P. Paepcke 1949 April 15, 1965 Miss Marisol Escobar 141 East 33rd Street New York, New York Dear Miss Escobar: I was very pleased to receive your note today advising that you will be with us for the second Aspen Film Conference, September 3 - 9. As I advised in the original invitation, I will have a great deal more information concerning the other participants as well as details on travel, etc., for you in the very near future. In the meantime, I would like very much to plan on having a show which will somehow illustrate the work of all participants -- the film makers as well as the artists, writers, and others who will be here for the conference. Would it be at all feasible for the Institute to have one of your pieces shipped here to be a part of this exhibit? Naturally, the piece which might be most appropriate would be you "John Wayne". However, if you have another which you would prefer and would be willing for us to undertake this plan, I would be glad to hear your suggestion. I thought of the Wayne piece naturally because of its association with film. Please let me know what you think of this idea, and in the meantime I am very pleased indeed that you will be with us in September. All best wishes. Sincerely, Robert Murray Robert Murray Program Director RM:caj P.S. I believe you are acquainted with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bayer, who reside here in Aspen. Herbert is one of our trustees and he was very pleased to learn that you are coming to Aspen. [[image]] P.O.
