1903 - 1906 studied sculpture in Paris with Verlet.
After 1907 had studios in New York, and in Rome, Italy.

         Medal for Sculpture, Panama-Pacific Exhibition, 1915.
         Firat Prize, for the finest work of art, National Arts Exhibition, 1923.
         Gold Medal for Sculpture, Architectural League, 1924.
         Potter Palmer Gold Medal for Sculpture, Chicago, 1925.
         Watrous Gold Medal, National Academy of Design, 1926.
         National Arts Club Medals and Prize, 1926, 1932,1934.
         Silver Medal, Ninth Olympiade, Amsterdam  1928.
         Saltus Medal for distinguished medallic work, Am. Numismatic Society, 1946.

President, National Sculpture Society, 1927-1928.
Past Vice-president of the Institute, American Academy of Arts and Letters.

WORK:  includes architectural groups; decorative reliefs; fountain and garden figures portraits; medals; and statuettes in bronze and ivory.  Among his works are: The Fountain of the Waters and the two bronze figures "SUN" and "EARTH", also the twelve Signs of the Zodiac; on the terrace of the Fine Arts Garden,Cleveland Ohio
