Clarence H. Mackay Esq.
253 Broadway,
New York City.

My dear Mr. Mackay:

My remembrance of your appreciation of The Cloisters and our pleasant meeting, prompts me to write you this letter. I am writing to ask if it is possible for you at this time to place in a position a young man whom I have known for twenty years and whose father is now in my employ as guardian of my Cloisters.

I have no hesitancy in recommending this young man as an honest and hard working lad and if you can place him in one of your interests I will appreciate the favor. The young mans' name is Andrew Grady - aged between twenty and twenty-one years.

Very truly yours,
