Dear Cornelia:

I enjoyed talking with you last Sunday at Bill Smith's, and am interested that you respond to Sri Aurobindo and would like to know more about him. I am enclosing a catalog of his works. There are two books that I would recommend for introduction.

Also, I am enclosing a small booklet by one of the authors, "The Adventure of Consciousness." Satprem is a Frenchman who has spent many years in the ashram of Sri Aurobindo and has been very close to the person called the Mother. The Mother, who ran the ashram, was a person of high spiritual qualities and was a French woman of Turkish descent. She was a person greatly admired throughout India, even by people like Indira Gandhi who used to go to the ashram for consultations.

I hope to see you again one of these days.

Sincerely yours,

GKN:ajo
