in the air without a limb knowing they were 200 to 400 years old and I was about to [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] cut and "kill" it.  Many times I would go alone to places I had cut, in the peace & [[strikethrough]] quite [[/strikethrough]] quiet of the woods and say to myself that I had destroyed something that had been here for a long time. 

The artical in F/W '79 and then your book made me realize a little that perhaps the trees I cut are still alive, being used [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] in some form of lumber to better some ones life:  It is too bad that so few people today realize the real beauty of wood.

I have 3 walnut logs in my back yard I cut 10 years ago.  Someday if I can figure out the joints on your Conoid chair I will try to make a dining room set for my wife.
