Forwards approved. statement of S.W. Clark relative to school matters in Arkansas thinks it injudicious to transfer school property to the Trustees at the present time. recommends that Mr. Colby be allowed to retain school house at Little Rock for the present. Commends the statements of Dr. Smith for favorable consideration.

Respectfully forwarded approved - We have had experience enough of the disposition of the Arkansas School Boards to justify withholding the property. I would respectfully urge that it be left in control of Supt. Colby, at least till near the close of this school year. He can thereby protect the teachers -
