Colonel, I have honor to transmit herewith the Teachers Monthly School Reports of the following schools in this district for the month of June 1869 to wit.

Robinson Memphis Tenn
Porters Stations Henry Co. Tenn.
Humboldt Gibson Co. Tenn.
Bolivar Hardeman Co. Tenn.
Oakland Fayette Co. Tenn.
Masons Tipton Co. Tenn.
Paris Henry Co. Tenn.

The Phoenix, Lincoln, Centenary, Collins Chapel, Orphan Asylum & Hines Schools all of this city closed on the 28th of May & will not open again until the fall term commences—

Is "Hines" correct? -- Beth Beth, looks like HINES is correct: In June 1870 the Memphis colored schools listed as operative were: ....4. HINES (45 x 60 building, valued at $5000), taught by Mrs. L. H. COLE, Miss M. P. VALLE.
