This is Jasmine Fernandez at the national portrait gallery with Satomi Shirai, right? Um, so describe your philosophy on art. What's your Philosophy?
[00:00:12]
[[Satomi Shirai] ]
That's a really big question for me.

[[Jasmine Fernandez] ]

Um, for me, mmm. Art is to explore and create, express or experience something how to describe in words for me. Then, also, uh, to bring composition and discussion.

So then I think about it and then create the picture. So then based on that idea.
[00:02:37]
[[Jasmine Fernandez] ]
That's very interesting. I really enjoy like the colors and patterns that you use in your photographs, they seem to like really pop out. Um, a lot of those pictures look like they were taking, like they were like taken in a home, was that in your home?
[00:02:48]
[[Satomi Shirai]]
Uh some are my apartment also friends place um, so basically, uh the like space, no when I go to, a friend's house and they have these personal items or food and sometimes when I'm bringing some food or some items for the photoshoot, but basically I photograph what was there, what they have. so hmm...
