Leo Castelli Gallery
4 East 77th Street
New York, New York

Dear Mr. Castelli

I spoke to Ivan Karp, last week about borrowing one of Donald Judd's pieces for our opening exhibition; and he asked me to make a written request.

The exhibition (from late September to mid October) will include work by Sol Le Witt, Bill Bollinger, Donald Bernshouse, and Richard Van Buren. I do not know what works will be available; but, if possible, I would like a wall piece (up to twenty feet in length could be accomodated [[accommodated]]). It would also be possible to use a floor piece, about ten feet in length.

The piece would be insured by us, wall to wall, at the value you specify and all moving expenses would be carried by the Gallery.

It should be a fine show, and I hope it will be possible to include a piece by Judd. I would appreciate it if you could let me leaving about this before the end of the month, since I will be leaving the City in July.

Sincerely,
Klaus Kertess
