Dear Don:

I am sorry that I did not get to see more of you when you were in St. Louis. These last two weeks have been particularly frantic--that refrain is beginning to sound like a broken record. I was at the Helman's the night before last and saw your piece installed. You did a marvelous job of refining them. That, as well as the house, are totally changed.

I thought you might like to have installation shots from the exhibition. They are not very good, but they might be of interest for your records.

I have checked with our records and find no mention of the one brown box being pushed in on the side when it arrived. I don't know how it could have happened, but we can only assume the responsibility. Please inform us about whatever costs are involved in fixing it. I am very sorry this should have happened and even sorrier it should have happened to this work which I respect so greatly. I am very disappointed that we were not able to acquire it and hope that we can get this or another of your works in the very near future.

Best regards
Emily
