Dear Mr. Rebel:
In answer to your letter of December 22 it is impossible for me to submit two written repair estimates for my sculpture damaged in transit from Yokohama. A work of art is unique and in this case cannot be repaired by "two individual companies," but must be dealt with by me.

This whole matter has already taken far too much of my time and if it is not settled shortly I will have to write to Tokyo directly.
