Is informed by the County Clerk that copy of deed to law on which "Howard Hall" stands was sent Col Runkle, but as it has never been received at the Bureau he will have another sent without delay.

Respectfully referred to Genl E. Whittlesy, A.A.A. Genl. B. R. F. and A. Lands, Washington D.C. with the information that no such deed, as mentioned within, has ever been received at this office, and it was my understanding from Mr. Fairchild last winter that no deed had ever been executed in favor of the Trustees for the land on which the Howard Hall building stands. 

The deed as soon as received will be forwarded
