States that in 1863 his property (known as "Castle") in Vicksburg Miss was occupied in part as Signal Station and in part by Col'd people of this Bureau. Dr. Duncan, Capt. Pease and others connected with Bureau also resided on the lot and thought occupied from 14th July 1863 to 8th Jany 1867 has never received any rent. Gives copy of letter of Presdt. Grant endorsing him as loyal man. Desires an interview.
