As the bounty claimants who reside in this section are now required to incur the expense of going to Nashville for their payments I take the liberty to ask in their behalf if provided you can be convinced that claimants would be fairly dealt with whether you would object to them being paid off at this point through some responsible person well known and having the confidence of claimants I beg leave however to say that notwithstanding the objectionable feature in the present mode of paying bounties, yet considering the imposition formerly practiced upon col'd claimants here according to my knowledge and belief and information derived from them, they are likely to be more benefitted in a pecuniary sense under the present mode than they formerly were should you deem these suggestions
