General,
I take the liberty of enclosing to you the certificate for the work done on Straight University, by which, you will perceive that I am directed to do more work; therefore more materials are required to finish the University building. Yesterday I visited [[strikethrough]] visited [[/strikethrough]] the Office of Col. Mason when he told me he would not furnish more materials for the completion of the work; neither would he make the last payment.

I am willing, and ready to paint the floors, or to do what else is
