International Convention of the Young Men's Christian Associations OF THE UNITED STATES AND BRITISH PROVINCES. Washington, D.C., May 27 1871 Maj' Gen'l Howard Dear Sir Can you inform me as to the probability of procuring two colored women - as house servants to go to Syracuse? I know that in some way servants have been procured from this city - by parties there - at Waverly, &c - even without coming for them. I desired to avoid troubling you - but am unable to learn whether any such arrangements are now existing. Will you favor me a note or brief interview? Very Respectfully John H. Frazee = Syracuse N.Y. Delegate Y.M.C.G. I am Entertained at Mr. Maurys 1212 K St. I will be grateful for a drop note there - or in the P.O. at the Y.M.C.A. rooms if convenient before Sat. night.
