Dear Sir:
Your favor of 3d. inst. respecting the complaint of Thomas Wilson Co "H" 9th U.S.C.T is this moment received; and as requested, I will now give you the exact state of the case. 

Wilson was entitled to one hundred dollars State of Maryland Bounty, for which claim was filed by Thos Timmons & Co.; payments having been delayed and frequently suspended, these claims were freely offered upon the street, the claimants very generally being anxious to sell, as brokers were to purchase. Wilson sold his claim to Timmons & Co. and for the $90= net amt due, received fifty dollars ($50) - July 3rd 1868 - receipt for which dated and executed
