In obedience to instructions contained in your endorsement on enclosed letter of George Washington 5th late of G Co 66th US Bat Inft. I have the honor to submit the following report.

The records of this office show that vouchers for $287.50 amount of bounty due said Washington were forwarded to Clark and Huggins Atty at Law, at Greenville Miss for signatures of claimants at his own request were rec'd back signed, and forwarded to the Chief Disbursing Officer 30 March 1871. money received from Chief DO April 12th 1871, and paid to said Washington same day and in the same manner that all other bounties and pensions have been paid by me since I have been in charge of this office.
