Office Commissary General of Subsistence, 
Washington City, Oct. 4th, 1871

Sir:
I have the honor to request, that this Office be informed what action (if any) has been taken on bills for Subsistence Stores furnished your Bureau, transmitted in letters of the following dates, Nov 1st & Dec 1st 1870, Jany 4th Mch 1st April 1st May 1st June 2nd July 1st and Aug 1st 1871.

This request is made for the reason, that the usual notifications of transfer of the amount of alone bills to the Subsistence Appropriations have not been received at this Office.
