General-
In comparing your statement of funds remaining on hand in the bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned lands for Saturday the 4th inst, with the various reports of the Assistant Treasurers and U.S. Depositories of the same date, the following discrepancies were found:

There should be, according to your statement,

1st, to the credit of H.H. Ray, Disbursing officer, with the U.S. Depository at Louisville, Ky - $20.989.29
this officer reports to credit of Ray, only $14.670.70

Short $6.318.59

2d, to the credit of T.A. Seely, Disbursing officer, with the Assist't. Treas'r. U.S. at St. Louis, Mo, $22.570.30 for which amount nothing at all is reported by the Assist't. Treas'r. U.S. at St. Louis, Mo.

3d, to the credit of Henry Page, Disbursing officer, with the Merchants WML of Little Rock, Ark, $15,353.66
the bank reports to the credit of Page, only  $13762.70
