Bureau Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands.
Washington, D.C., August 1st 1867.

Mr W. C. Garrison is hereby appointed an Agent in the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, State of Alabama at a salary of forty one 67/100 dollars per month

This appoint is made under the provisions of "An Act to continue in force and amend an Act to establish a Bureau for the relief of Freedmen and Refugees, and for other purposes." It will take effect July 1st 1867 and remain in force until revoked by orders from this office.

The oath required by law will be taken, and filed in the office of the Asst Commissioner of the State of Alabama.
