settlement of the claim of Marin Drain, as widow of John Drain, late of Co. H. 5th U.S.C.T. on presentation by Mr. Carr of the claimants order for that amount which is alleged by Mr. Carr to have been loaned by  him in various sums from time to time to Mrs. Drain.

No claim for loans or advances other than these made in cash by the attorney-of-record in the claim is being recognized by this Bureau; nor is even such claim on the part of the attorney-of-record recognized under certain restrictions, for which please see marked paragraphs of the enclosed Circular No. 1 series of 1869, from this Bureau.
