Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 12th inst:, to the Secretary, requesting the admission, free of duties and charges, of an Invoice of goods contributed by the Midland Freedmen's Relief Association of the value of £294.4.10 imported for the use of the colored Freedmen of the United States, in the, [[blank]] at the port of New York, from Birmingham, England

The Collector of Customs at that port has been instructed accordingly.
