That for attempting to defend himself, he was arrested on the charge of committing an assault on the said Geo. W.. Hardisty, & committed to jail & kept in irons for one month, at the expiration of which time he was released on $500.00 bail.
   
That Mr Geo. W. Hardisty has threatened to kill him if he ever comes to his place, & that his wife & two of his children are now at Mr. Richard Hardisty's & that the said Richard Hardisty refuses to allow them to come away with him.
