Provo Marshal Genl -

Sir I have the honor to report that I enlisted in Co "T" 19 U.S.C.I. from Charles Co Md Jan 10 1864 being a slave to Yates Barbara of Hope Chas. Co. Md - who was much displeased at my course and who treated my wife and family badly turning her adrift and retaining all my property which I had purchased with my own earnings such as bed and bedding crockeryware cooking utensils, washing tub and furniture - My wife is living with her father and mother since [[strikethrough]] in St Mary [[/strikethrough]]in Chaptico St Marys Co Md - laboring under great inconvenience for the want of aforesaid articles and hope you will interfere in the matter so that she (Margaret Jane Yates Bond my wife) may have what comforts right belongs to us -
