Report of Teacher to Freedmen's Bureau Report of Thomas P. Griffin Teacher of Colored School in School District No 16. Davidson Co. Tenn. to Supt. of Freedmen's Schools for Kentucky, Tennessee and North. Ala., for the three months commencing June 26th, and ending September 15th, 1863.


Item 1st
The number of colored people residing and located in the district, within a circuit of two miles from the school house, is probably five hundred, including all, men, women and children.

2nd.
There is but - one school in operation in the District for colored children.

3rd. 
No schools have been discontinued. None have been organized, except the one that is new in operation.

4th. 
One employed by no Commission, Association or Society.

5th. 
None.

6th.

7th. 
The present school has been in operation three months, and five weeks.

8th 
Whole number of male pupils attending school under twelve years of age (14.). Whole number of females (13). Number of males between the ages of twelve and twenty one (8). Number of females (6).

9th 
One who has taught over three months, and under six - If an opportunity were afforded, for all to attend school who desire, two more teachers at
