Short while. But now I realize how much harder is it to have your friends leave you than it is to leave your friends. Edgar was called home Sunday, by telegram, to the bedside of his father and he went Mon. but last evening the telegram came for Myra & Mark to come immediately.  Mark was a great favorite of his grand- pa's- I hope he will get to see him.  Eli Whitson was buried last Sunday. Poor Eli- his was a short and unsatisfactory life, but his death, they say, was triumphant. Had some letters from home this morning. Pa and Ma gave up, of course, their project of coming here. Everette and Aunt Celia are both sick. Oh Myra and I had so
