Plaster √ with hair
1st coat 1/2 in thick lay on diagonally. Scratch 2nd coat 1/4 in thick
Scour uniformly, sprinkling with water making very smooth and hard. 
Key with wire brush. Final coat 1/8 in thick apply when last coat is nearly dry.  Fine coat is pure lime which has been slaked and then mixed with water to a semi fluid consistency and allowed to stand until developed into soft paste. 
1 part lime 3. sand.
