My very dear and [[strikethrough]] good [[/strikethrough]] thoughtful friend,

I [[strikethrough]] should like [[/strikethrough]] want to thank you for the admirable article which you have written [[strikethrough]] about [[/strikethrough]] on my work: I think it is the best that has ever been said about it as an analysis of the evolution of my painting and as an evaluation of its plastic & social aspects.

I want to [[strikethrough]] say [[/strikethrough]] tell you that for the first time someone has concerned himself with my painting in its different facets, emphasizing it as such above all else, and without [[strikethrough]] involving it [[/strikethrough]] becoming involved in other irrelevant issues; enmeshing it in the lush growth of the banks of the river as you follow its current. Certainly it is evident that [[strikethrough]] you are able to do this [[/strikethrough]] you were, of course able to do this because you are a good painter [[strikethrough]] of merit [[/strikethrough]], and your own [[strikethrough]] ability [[/strikethrough]] worth gives you the [[strikethrough]] faculty [[/strikethrough]] possibity to [[strikethrough]] [[?]] ADVERT advert [[/strikethrough]] point out freely [[strikethrough]] that which to [[/strikethrough]] what you [[strikethrough]] found [[/strikethrough]] may find in other painters.

Your article is excellent, so much so that [[strikethrough]] it [[/strikethrough]] more so because [[strikethrough]] of its [[/strikethrough]] it is entirely objective, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] it is only thru the intense and sustained interest in the analysis of my work that one can feel your affection and deep friendship, without allowing your sentiments to influence for one moment, your clear and certain technical judgment

Many thanks to you, my friend
