3. I saw some temples, it's a pity you not here to see with me the Jain temple especially. Jainism is one of the many religions of India. This temple is very funny, very childish, but beautiful and has a large garden and a little lac with big fat black fish. Was build about 70-80 years ago and has a big influence of western taste of that time mainly on the big mustaches everybody has in the paintings and colored sculptures, many strange gods and sculptures, big heads and small bodies, several gods (or maybe saints) having rifles and revolvers- We walked barefooted inside the temple the walls decorated with colored stones and little mirrors, very childish and merry- The Jains have a great respect for all animal life, they have hospitals for animals, (ill or aged) and the ortodox ones carry a broom with wich remove the ants or small animals from they path to avoid stepping on them. They have also a special consideration for monkeys.

In the pet district of the Bazaar they have a lot of monkeys small and big, and parrots and so on but I was delighted to see in a cage very smal (like [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] your little finger) colored birds, so crowded in the cage that they have to stay one in top of another, like in my drawings.
