Dear Hedda,

Received yesterday by miracle 2 letters from you one dated December 2 very dry and short, you say you received 3 parcels from me and then you are in a hurry to go somewhere you don't tell me where. Sad letter and I'm affraid I'll receive a few of the kind, you are angry with me or maybe you are no more.
The other one is dated October 25, it came through ONI, the one with blades in it, the one you sent [[strikethrough]] together [[/strikethrough]] the same day with the one addressed A.P.O. to see which one will arrive sooner. You see the result now. anyway is no more actual. It was really a surprise to find those letters from you here, they travelled quite a lot, from New York to China and back here. It seems I'll be able to get your letters here in 7-10 days and I'm very anxious to get the first bunch or your new letters - I thank you very much for the blades, I'll use them with love and care - I have here everything rather, we get a weekly ration of many kinds of candies and stuff and I eat more colored sugar than ever in my life including the age from 5 to 10 when that was my maine [[main]] aspiration and demand from life.

I'm going now to see the post office, maybe some more letters from you and better ones. My writting letters to you has been cooled off by the austerity of your December letter. Write you tomorrow again. Love to You S-
