Dear Hedda,

I received today your first letter thru the new APO, the one written Jan. 13. First at all write me from now on via Navy 1925, I received one from The New Yorker that way dated Jan. 26. Second you crazy to [[strikethrough]] s [[/strikethrough]] write me that you don't feel like sending a silly sentimental letter and add: "arn't they inactual?" Never mind, put the mild words mixed with your "business letter", who cares for inactual, what I'm looking for is just the right kind of words for me, make it silly, dear. Now I cannot help writing you a business letter to answer yours. I thank you very much for the trouble you are having with my book and the drawings I left and sent you. Don't worry too much and the hell with my "business", you better write me a letter insted of losing your time talking to people or Civita.
