NEW YORK N.Y. From S. STEINBERG Ens USNR (Sender's name) Navy 1925 (Sender's address) c/o Fleet Postmaster N.Y. Febr. 16. 1944 (Date) Dear Leda, I received today the big picture of yours you mailed the 20th January - It's nice but you look too enormous. The face is never that big in reality - it looks more like seen by a fly, and the picture is not flattering as you say, you are a lot better, I know - I have now 3 pictures of you (the head only) and I'm waiting for the ones I asked you, you all with arms and legs and so on. Today I hate this place, it's cold and sad and nothing is going on the way I imagined. Tomorrow everything will be all right. By tomorrow I mean sometime in the future. I hope to hear something good in about a month or so. A few days ago I sent you flowers, I don't know how soon you'll get them but anyway I like the idea of you receiving flowers from me. Never brought you flowers before. Flowers and Love, S V...-MAIL U. S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1943 16-28143-4
