Febr. 29 1944-
evening-

Dear Hedda,

Before I left I received a couple of nice letters from you. I received even a couple of parcels, one from my uncle and then a cigarette lighter with no indication at all about the sender, maybe it's from you or maybe from my cousin. That means anyway that I'll get sometime even the Christmas Gifts (The 2 parcels above were mailed in September.)

I'm finaly here and I'm very much confused, the things have so much changed and I'm still going to move from the place I'm in now so I cannot sit down and feel quiet. as to write you a good long letter. I'm going to find a steady place soon and I'll write you a lot about the place, about you and me and about my love for you.

I've been around in town the whole day. I bought a few things, I talked to people, poverty, confusion, I'm upset by things I've seen

Take care of yourself dear and write me soon to my new address, Love you
