March 23rd 1944

Dear Hedda.

Today I received a very good letter from you, it's sad the letter and you don't feel happy and I understand you, I feel myself many times that way (we are similar in so many ways and that's not so difficult to explain because we both had the same biography more or less and especially because we both like to make drawings and we both like to get married together. Your letter arrived very fast, in one week, it's dated March 15 and addressed to my first address here (what a complication with my address) The ones you sent to the Navy 1925 will arrive later, they have to be resent to me. I received also a letter from Ross, he told me to make the drawings of war book as soon as I can and they'll take care of it, publisher etc together with "miss Stafford" It's very pleasant for me to find your name connected with me and people around knowing more or less that there's something -
